centrefold v naomi's team
Both teams are coming into tonight’s game from strong wins last week and keen to keep their streak alive. Centrefold was down a few of their normal players and took a while for the fill ins to gel with the team. Naomi’s Team was able to get out to an early lead in the first quarter and build a 6 goal lead. The second quarter saw Centrefold fight back and eat into that lead, reducing it down to just 3 goals at the break. The third quarter had the vibes of a final, both teams pushing hard in this game, eager for the 4 points, Centrefold continued their momentum from the second quarter and were able to get back within 1 goal heading into the final quarter. Alex was a standout filling in for Centrefold, he was awarded Player of the Match for his defensive efforts all game. The last quarter saw Naomi’s Team break away again and they were able to win the game, 18 to 23 for their second win in a row.
gmd v mish n mash
Both teams are coming into tonight from challenging games last week, GMD came out strong and quickly built a 6 goal lead, Mish n Mash missing some of their normal players were feeling it on the scoreboard. The second quarter was better for Mish n Mash who were able to score 4 goals to GMD’s 5 and prevent GMD from getting too far ahead. The third quarter was a very strong defensive quarter for both teams, with only 1 goal being scored for the 9 minutes of play. A testament to both teams defenders. Ethan for GMD and Stefan for Mish n Mash played critical roles for their teams and were awarded Player of the Match. GMD won the game, 19 to 7 and secured their first win of the season.
sunflowers v haysoms on ket
Sunflowers had the bye last week and Haysoms on Ket had a challenging week, both teams will be pushing hard in tonight’s game to get the win. The first quarter saw Haysoms on Ket play a fast game and catch Sunflowers by surprise, quickly getting out to a 4 goal lead. The second quarter had the defenders for Sunflowers tighten up an they were able to keep Haysoms on Ket while their shooters caught up, building their own 4 goal lead. The third quarter was equal with both teams scoring 5 goals and Sunflowers holding strong with their 4 goal lead. The final quarter Sunflowers showed that they are a team to be revered, winning the game 26 to 16. Danny from Sunflowers and Millie from Haysoms on Ket were awarded Player of the Match for their efforts.
harley's angels v easy breezy
Harley’s Angels are on the back of a strong win last week and will want to keep that streak alive, however Easy Breezy had a challenging week last week so will be keen to turn it around tonight with the assistance of some fill ins. The first quarter was equal with both teams scoring 6 goals each and playing well. Easy Breezy with the help of their fill in goaler were able to get out to a 7 goal lead in the second quarter. Harley’s Angels changed some players around at the break and came out fighting in the third quarter, 2 very quickly goals at the end of the quarter to level the scores heading into the final 9 minutes. Both teams played hard in the final quarter, but it was Harley’s Angels who had the upper hand tonight, winning the game 31 to 27. Jim for Harley’s Angels and Josh for Easy Breezy were awarded Player of the Match.
the odd bunch v slayers
The Odd bunch will be keen to secure their first win tonight and Slayers will be hoping to see their streak continue from last week. The first quarter Odd Bunch played well and were able to build a 2 goal lead. Slayers upped their efforts in the second quarter and were able to close the gap to just 1 goal. The break worked to Slayers advantage, and they continued the momentum into the third quarter shooting well and taking the lead. Dylan was a standout for the Odd Bunch, being awarded Player of the match. Slayers won the game 8 to 17, with their last push in the final quarter to secure their second win in a row.
bibs out for the boys v mediocre
Bibs Out for the Boys had a challenging week last week and Mediocre had a win, will they be able to start a streak tonight? The first quarter had Mediocre off to a good start with a 4 point lead, the second quarter was better for Bibs Out for the Boys, but Mediocre continued their momentum from the first and extended their lead out to 11 goals at the half time break. Both teams had a good third quarter but Mediocre didn’t take the food off the peddle and pushed out to 15 goals heading into the final quarter. Bibs Out for the Boys were not happy to leave it there and continued to fight until the final siren. Vish for Bibs Out for the Boys and Jarred for Mediocre were named Player of the Match. Mediocre are now on a 2 game winning streak after the 14 to 29 win tonight.
cheeseballers v don't call hr
Both teams are coming into tonight’s game from wins the last couple of weeks, but only one teams winning streak can continue. Don’t Call HR came out strong, along with their new name, building a 4 goal lead in the first quarter. Both teams were equal in the second quarter scoring 3 goals each and Don’t Call HR maintain their 4 goal lead into the break. Cheeseballers fought back in the third quarter to get within a goal of Don’t Call HR. The last quarter saw these new teams really battle it out and with moments to go Cheeseballers were able to score a goal to take the lead and win, 17 to 16, their third win in a row. Cooper for Cheeseballers and Alister for Don’t Call HR were awarded Player of the Match for their performances.
