HARLEYS ANGELS V SORRY IN ADVANCE
Harley’s Angels continued on their fine form from last week to overcome reinvigorated unit Sorry In Advance, who have been enjoying a strong recent run too. The Angels were too prolific in the goal circle once again to notch the same total of 27 goals scored from last week. It was just enough to see how Sorry in Advance in a thrilling 27-25 end result. Kanysha H caught the attention of the umpires to be awarded player of the game for Sorry in Advance.
CENTREFOLD V BIBS OUT FOR THE BOYS
Formidable unit Centrefold continued their perfect start to the season with a dominant 32-15 victory this week over Bibs out for the boys. The seasoned team showed their class again on the court and look to be a serious contender this season. Bibs out for the boys shot out of the blocks this campaign, before a couple tough opponents; no doubt they’ll be looking to bounce back to form next week after the good recent challenges. Annie M was named player of the game for a standout performance.
BITTABANTER V NAOMIS TEAM
Two heavyweights in Bittabanter and Naomi’s Team went head-to-head in an absolute thriller. Spectators were keen to see how two top contenders would battle it out and it didn’t disappoint, with an enthralling 27-26 end scoreline. Reigning champions Bittabanter were made to work for the result and narrowly kept their unbeaten run going against a brave Naomi’s Team, who will take plenty away from the match. Rhys D featured as player of the game again in another starring outing.
SUNFLOWERS V PMS
Sunflowers bounced back from a tough outing last week and returned to the winners list with a narrow 19-17 victory over PMS. An absolute thriller from two sides who made genuine strides in the West division last campaign. Grace S from PMS earned player of the game honours for a second time this season after catching the attention of the umpires once again for a fine performance.
DROPPIN BALLZ V UNDERWHELMINGLY AVERAGE
Droppin Ballz were relentless in their approach last week, notching an impressive 34 goals while keeping their opponent’s score at bay too. The emerging contender repeated the dose this week with another 34-goal tally, helping them overcome Underwhelmingly Average 34-5. Underwhelmingly Average had made a fine start to the season and will be better off for the tough challenge. Alex W from Droppin was named player of the game by the umpires for a stirring performance.
EASY BREEZY V THE ODD BUNCH
Easy Breezy got on the winners list for the first time and returned to form with a solid 18-6 win over The Odd Bunch. The side shot the ball super well to notch an impressive 18 goals, their highest tally for the season, and will be hoping this form carries on into next week. The Odd Bunch weren’t disgraced and earned player of the game honours through Val.
MEDIOCRE V GMD
Mediocre continue to make strides in their introduction to the comp, with a solid performance delivering an 18-13 result over GMD. The newcomers have been involved in some close results recently and battled well to register an impressive maiden victory. Jai from Mediocre caught the attention of the umpires claim best on court accolades.
GENERATION XYZ V PEASANTS
Two heavyweights in Generation XYZ and Peasants went head-to-head in a captivating contest. Spectators were keen to see how the result would play out against two top contenders and it didn’t disappoint with a massive 9-6 scoreline. It was Generation XYZ who earned the points on this occasion, maintaining their unbeaten start to the campaign. Nathan earned MOTM honours for his performance for Gen XYZ.
KFC HERNANDEZ V WB BOYS
After a tricky start to the season, KFC Hernandez made it two from two with an assured performance against WB Boys. The impressive side were too formidable in defence to notch a rare clean sheet in the league, running out 4-0 winners. WB Boys will look to return to form after an impressive outing the prior week. Zander P was named player of the game for his performance for KFC.
THE SHARKS V CHICANO U-TURN
The Sharks have made an impressive start to their campaign with some close results and have had no problem finding the net in recent weeks. It continued again this past Wednesday with an impressive 8-4 win over Chicano U-turn, who had also been showcasing their goal-scoring prowess this season. Sam B from The Sharks was awarded MOTM honours for a stirring outing.
YTB V CAZZ FC
YTB continue to build form after a tough introduction to the comp. After a heavy loss in week 1, the side have registered back-to-back wins in impressive fashion, this time a 9-3 result over Cazz FC. The newcomers will be hoping this form carries over into the next few weeks to continue a strong patch/ Stefano L R was named player of the game by the referee for a superb performance.
WORLDS BIGGEST V FORFEIT FC
After a pair of draws to kickstart their season, World’s Biggest returned to the winners list with a dominant 11-5 victory over Forfeit FC. The reigning finalists showcased their skill and goal-scoring prowess to return to form, while Forfeit dropped points for the first time this season after a fine start.
MANAGED ANGER V IVORY TOAST
Managed Anger and Ivory toast played out a tight and intense contest which saw a thrilling final scoreline of 4-3. The defence and pressure was high from both sides, but it was the experience of Managed Anger that saw them narrowly edge out on top to claim their first points for the season. Zander from Managed Anger was awarded player of the game honours.
CHICKEN TIKKA MO SALAH V XOV
Chicken Tikka Mo Salah responded after a tough outing last week and had a host of goalscorers to notch an impressive 11-5 victory over XOV. Both sides had conjured some high goalscoring tallies coming into the match but it was Chicken Tikka who had a little too much experience on this occasion. Luke B from Chicken Tikka was awarded player of the game for an eye-catching performance.
