Naomi's team v droppin ballz
Droppin Balls are coming into this game off a win last week and Naomi’s Team had a challenging week last week so will be keen to turn it around tonight. The first quarter saw Naomi’s Team change up their normal positions and it wasn’t working how they hoped, Droppin Balls were quickly able to take advantage and get out to a 6 goal lead. The second quarter had them having to chase Droppin Balls to try and eat away at the lead but Droppin Balls had momentum and kept pushing, extending their lead out to 9 goals at the half time break, Cody was having a great game in goals and was selected as Player of the Match. The third quarter was a masterclass by Naomi’s Team, not only scoring strong but also defending tightly, Droppin Balls were only able to score the 1 goal for the quarter with Naomi’s Team getting out to a 3 goal lead. The final quarter felt like a grand final, both teams giving it their all. Naomi’s Team just able to hold on to their lead and win the game 30 to 29.
the odd bunch v cheeseballers
The Odd Bunch had a challenging week last week and Cheeseballers had their first win of the season, both will be eager to get the win tonight. The first quarter was fairly even, Cheeseballers just capitalising on an intercepted ball and getting out to a 2 goal lead. The second quarter was equal with both teams scoring 3 goals and the lead not changing. The third quarter saw Cheeseballers find their groove, they quickly started scoring goals with ease and got out to a 13 goal lead. The final quarter The Odd Bunch played hard and kept up with the Cheeseballers, unfortunately they were just too strong tonight, taking the win, 8 to 22. Tarkyn had a great game and is improving every week, he was awarded Player of the Match.
centrefold v one shot wonders
Both teams are coming into this game undefeated but only one team can continue that streak at the end of the 40 minutes. Centrefold got out to good start in the first quarter and notched up a 6 goal lead at the change. The second quarter saw One Shot Wonders struggle to defend the goalers from Centrefold who continued to shoot with high accuracy. After the break One Shot Wonders came out strong and were able to score 6 goals for the third quarter, however Centrefold continued to push ahead and extended their lead to 14 goals before the final quarter. The last 9 minutes saw One Shot Wonders Outscore Centrefold and reduce the lead slightly. However tonight they were just too strong and won the game, 30 to 17. Jase was exceptional for Centrefold and was awarded Player of the Match for the second time this season.
slayers v haysoms on ket
Both teams are coming into tonight’s game from challenging games last week and will be keen to score the win tonight. The first quarter saw Slayers get out to a small lead, up 2 goals at the change of ends. The second quarter saw Haysoms on Ket fight back and not only taking the lead but also getting out 3 goals in front. After the break both teams were eager to push hard, and we saw Slayers get back within 2 goals of Haysoms on Ket. The final quarter saw Slayers level the scores and get out to a 2 goal lead with less than 30 seconds to go. Haysoms on Ket did well to score with seconds to go, however Slayers won, 17 to 16. Patrick was instrumental in the win and was awarded Player of the Match.
Haysoms on Ket v Easy Breezy
Haysoms on Ket are coming into tonight’s game from a challenging week last week, but Easy Breezy
won’t be living up to their name. The first quarter saw Easy Breezy get out to an early 8 goal lead.
Haysoms on Ket fought back in the second and were able to keep them from extending that lead.
The third quarter saw the ball moving well in the midcourt for both teams, however Easy Breezy
with the assistance of some fill ins were able to convert a few more goals than their competitors.
The final quarter saw Haysoms on Ket outscore Easy Breezy, and lessen the gap, Easy Breezy scoring
their final goal from a penalty after the siren. Lachie for Haysoms on Ket and Grace for Easy Breezy
were awarded Player of the Match for their teams.
mediocre v mish n mash
Mediocre had a challenging game last week and Mish N Mash are on the back of a win. The first quarter saw both teams play well, and both stay on centre pass for their goals. Mediocre scoring before the end of the quarter, to get out to a single goal lead. The second quarter was a rinse and repeat of the first with Mediocre now extending their lead to 2 goals at the break. The third quarter saw the action heat up and Mediocre found their groove, however Mish n Mash weren’t going down without a fight, their goalers having their best quarter so far. The final quarter saw Shaun from Mediocre shine and he was awarded Player of the Match for the second week in a row. Mediocre won the game 16 to 9, their second win of the season.
gmd v tfathletes
GMD have had a challenging start to the season, up against TFAthletes one of the newcomers this season who have been undefeated so far. The first quarter saw TFAthletes come out strong and build a 3 goal lead. GMD fought back in the second and reduced the lead to just 2 goals. The third quarter was a ripper with GMD leveling the scores to 10 all heading into the final quarter. Maddie was having a great game and was recognised for her efforts being awarded Player of the Match. The final quarter was grand final worthy, both teams fought hard right to the end, TFAthletes taking away the 4 points with a single goal win, 15 to 16, remaining undefeated for a third week.
bibs out for the boys v harley's angels
Both teams have had just the one win so far for the season and will be keen to get their second tonight. The first quarter was a tie with both teams scoring 6 goals each. The second quarter saw Harley’s Angels put the foot down and notch out a 6 goal lead. The break favoured Harley’s Angels who continued with the momentum of the second quarter, and they extended their lead to 14. The last quarter was great by Bibs Out for the Boys, Carly especially and she was awarded Player of the Match for her efforts. Harley’s Angels won the game, 17 to 31.
bittabanter v easy breezy
Both teams are coming into this game undefeated, but only one can continue that streak. The first quarter was strong by Bittabanter who were missing several of their players. Quickly notching up an 8 goal lead. The second quarter saw Easy Breezy shoot well, utilising the fill ins they also had. The third quarter was another strong quarter for Bittabanter, extending their lead to 16 goals heading into the final quarter. Easy Breezy outshot Bittabanter in the final quarter, however they were just too strong tonight and won the game 37 to 22. Rhys was a standout for Bittabanter and was awarded Player of the Match.
