centrefold v harley's angels
This was set to be the game of the night and it sure lived up to expectation. Finals contender Centrefold have recently taken a drop down the ladder and was eager to get the win to move back up into second again, Harley’s Angels on the other hand have had a tough run lately and wanted to show what makes them one of the hard to beat teams in the comp. The first quarter went by quick and was low scoring for both teams, Harley’s took advantage of an intercept to go into the change in the lead. The second quarter saw a swing with Centrefold warming up and getting a few quick goals to be up by 3 at the break. Jason was exceptional for Centrefold and was a real difference in this score change, the umpires recognised this and awarded him player of the match. The second half was where it really heated up, the lead swapped a few times and the game was close until the end, Harley’s Angels taking the win by just 1 goal.
naomi's team v underwhelmingly average
This was a hard-fought game by both teams, Naomi’s Team came out very strong in the first quarter, their defensive effort was particularly good, and they were off to a 7 point lead at the change. Underwhelmingly Average shooters kicked into gear in the second quarter and made the defenders work. The third quarter saw a change in positions for Naomi’s team and had the shooters moving and shooting well, Hailee had a great game in defence for Naomi’s Team and was instrumental in keeping Underwhelmingly Average from scoring. She was awarded Best on court for her efforts in the game. Underwhelmingly Average showed great teamwork for the entire game unfortunately Naomi’s team were just too strong to beat taking the game 38 to 12.
bittabanter v gmd
GMD came into this game off a very strong win last week, but the top of the ladder Bittabanter was always going to a hard challenge. The first quarter was pretty even by both teams, with only some minor errors by GMD limiting their goals. The change of ends saw a change of positions for GMD, unfortunately the all female shooting circle they had in the first quarter was interrupted and so with it their flow of goals, Bittabanter capitalised on this and went into the break with a 13 goal lead. The third quarter was a slow scoring quarter with only 6 goals for the whole 9 minutes. The ball continued to get overturned at both ends, Rhys for Bittabanter was pivotal with intercepts and moving the ball through the midcourt and was selected as Player of the Match by the umpires. The last quarter saw better shooting by both teams, Bittabanter just too strong for GMD and taking the game 33 to 12.
sunflowers v back that pass up
This game was tipped to be one of the games of the night, and boy oh boy was it a great one. Sunflowers coming in from a strong win last week and Back That Pass Up, from a hard game last week that saw their winning streak come to an end. The first quarter was almost goal for goal with Back That Pass Up just in front with some good intercepts. The second quarter saw Back That Pass Up get into gear and they looked very comfortable out there, strong shooting saw them head into the break with a 7 goal lead. Sunflowers regrouped at half time and were not going to go down without a fight. They came out strong in the third quarter and not only did they make the most of every ball they kept Back That Pass Up to just the 1 goal for the quarter. The last quarter was a great battle by both teams, sunflowers continued their momentum from the third quarter and with another minute on the clock may have taken the win, but Back That Pass Up held on just long enough and won by a single goal. Josh from Back That Pass Up was selected by the umpires as player of the match.
bibs out for the boys v mediocre
Bibs Out for the Boys were coming into this game after a loss ended their winning streak last week and Mediocre on the other hand were coming into the game with a three week streak. The first quarter was goal for goal and saw great sportsmanship by both teams. The second quarter saw Bibs Out take a slight lead after capitalising on a few intercepts, going into the break with a 3 goal lead over Mediocre who were continuing to push them. The third quarter saw a few small errors by Mediocre and Bibs Out were able to move it into their goal circle well. The last quarter was very similar to the first, both teams going goal for goal and so well paired against each other. The umpires wanted to commend all players on court for the way in which they played. Bibs Out for the Boys ultimately won the game by an 8 point margin.
droppin ballz v easy breezy
Easy Breezy came into this game from a strong win last week and keen to keep it rolling, but have a challenge against the in form Droppin Balls. The first quarter saw good movement by the goalers for Easy Breezy, and good movement down the court by both teams. Easy Breezy were missing a few of their regulars and it may have been one of the impacts on the scoreboard. Droppin balls put the foot down in the second quarter and went into the half time break with a 15 point lead. Not known for ever taking it easy on a team, Droppin Balls continued to push hard in the second half, but Easy Breezy were not going to go down without a fight, making some key positional changes, they slowed Droppin Balls for the second half. Erin for Droppin Balls was selected by the umpires as player of the match.
sorry in advance v the odd bunch
Both teams were coming into the game from hard fought games the week prior and keen to get a win on the board. Both teams defended very strongly in the first quarter and kept the score to just the one goal for The Odd Bunch. After the change of ends both teams warmed up a bit and were able to stretch their legs and get a few goals under the belt each. It was still very strongly defended by both teams, with lots of back and forth on the court. The half time break saw The Odd Bunch up by 2. The third quarter was much the same as the first half and both teams scored just the 2 goals. The action heated up in the last quarter, Sorry in Advance made the most of minor errors by the Odd Bunch and were able to capitalise on each intercept that came their way, outscoring their opponents and ultimately taking the win, 11 to 9.
pms v the hot shots
Both teams have had similar seasons with challenging games
and some good wins along the way, this game was set to be a good one. The first
quarter saw very equal play with both teams moving the ball well, The Hot Shots
were able to intercept the ball and convert it, going into the break with a 2
goal lead. The second quarter was much the same with great defence work by Ben
from PMS keeping the score difference the same going into the break. The
umpires awarded him player of the match for his efforts. After the break both
teams continued the same in the third quarter, neither team able to stretch
ahead. Was great to see such even competition. Unfortunately, PMS struggled
with momentum heading into the last quarter and The Hot Shots had an extra
gear, taking it away towards the end of the quarter, to win by 7.

Managed Anger continued their impressive form from last week but had to settle for a 4-4 draw this time. Adrian’s outstanding performance once again earned him the best on court honors, highlighting the team’s consistency.

360 bounced back emphatically with a resounding 9-1 victory over Xov, who faced some tough challenges in recent weeks. Matt’s remarkable outing earned him the best on court accolades, showcasing the team’s strength and determination.
