The first quarter was a slower start for Harley’s Angels than the Droppin Balls who are coming off a loss last week and keen to change it up. Droppin Balls up by 3 at the change of ends did not stop Harley’s Angels from competing hard in the second quarter and scoring 7 goals, keeping the gap to 3 at the break. The third quarter saw Droppin Balls step it up a notch again and extend out their lead to 5 goals. Kane did everything he could for Harley’s Angels, ultimately being awarded player of the match, small compensation as Droppin Balls took the game 26 to 18.

Naomi’s Team have been playing hard the last couple of weeks, keen to secure their place in the finals, GMD have been hot contenders and could also find themselves there at the end of the season. The first quarter was a power show by the long-term Naomi’s Team, their defence was a brick wall anytime GMD moved the ball down there. Naomi’s Team up by 7 at the change of ends, GMD yet to score. The second quarter saw GMD finding a way through and scoring a couple of goals, Naomi’s Team’s shooters continued to goal with great accuracy and extended their lead out to 12 at the break. GMD regrouped and took the third quarter, outscoring Naomi’s Team and closing the game down to 10 goals. Naomi’s Team tightened up in the last quarter and took the game 27 to 11. Ethan was picked as Player of the match for GMD.
centrefold v bittabanter
Centrefold and Bittabanter are two of our longest playing teams, although the players in each team has had some changes over the years the rivalry has remained the same. Centrefold came out shooting strong in the first quarter, it was a tight game, going goal for goal. The change of ends brought about a change in Bittabanter, they came out with a second speed, the accuracy increased, and they were able to take advantage of good passes through the midcourt to get the balls into their goal circle. The goalers got rid of whatever jitters they started the game with and were scoring accurately. The break saw both teams regroup and come out firing in the third quarter, Centrefold never taking the foot off the peddle, Bittabanter continued to play at their speed and move the ball around to find access to the goalers. Bittabanter started to stretch out a minor lead going into the last quarter, Phoebe was a star defender in the goal circle for Centrefold, intercepts and rejections throughout the night, earning her Player of the Match. A minor consolation as Bittabanter ultimately took the game 21 to 30
underwhelmingly average v the hot shots
Both teams are coming into tonight’s game from challenging losses the week before, very evenly matched this is sure to be the game of the night. The first quarter saw Underwhelmingly Average have a slow start and struggled to get underway, The Hot Shots capatilised on this and went into the change 7 goals ahead. The second quarter saw the Underwhelmingly Average that we are used to, and they outshot The Hot Shots to narrow the gap down to just 2 goals at the break. The third quarter saw the momentum for Underwhelmingly Average continue and they took the lead for the first time in the game. The last quarter was a great battle by both teams, Declan for Underwhelmingly Average and Mia for The Hot Shots were players of the match and instrumental in their teams’ efforts. Underwhelmingly Average defied the odds from the first quarter to take the win with a 24 to 21 final score.
easy breezy v back that pass up
Both teams are coming into this game from great games the week before, Easy Breezy missing some of their core team could spell trouble for them against the strength of the new team in Back That Pass Up. The first half saw good movement by both teams, just a few errors for Easy Breezy, adapting to the flow of play with fill ins. Back That Pass Up able to see the goals flowing easier than their opposition. Josh was instrumental in getting Back That Pass Up to a comfortable position at the break and was awarded player of the match. The third quarter saw Easy Breezy continue to push and start to get into a groove, Back That Pass Up when into the final change with a 16 point lead. The final quarter saw great accuracy in the shooting for Back That Pass Up, they ultimately took the game 10 to 32.
sunflowers v the odd bunch
Sunflowers have stepped up a level in their game plan since extending out to two nights here at Eastern and we are seeing improvement in their play week in and week out. The Odd Bunch have had a few struggles with players out of late and have had to resort to fill ins, interrupting their flow of play. This game saw both teams move the ball well, Sunflowers were able to capitalise on most balls into the goal circle, their shooters having a great night. The Odd Bunch struggled in the goal circle with the defensive height of Sunflowers. Travis was a standout on the court for the Odd Bunch and was selected as the Player of the Match. Sunflowers ultimately won the match.
bibs out for the boys v sorry in advance
Bibs Out for the Boys came into this game missing a key player and having to arrange a fill in, Sorry in Advance are no strangers to fill ins for their team and tend to work well with the change up of players. The first quarter saw Sorry in Advance struggle with the added height in the Bibs Out goal circle. The defensive efforts for Bibs Out kept Sorry in Advance to the solitary goal for the opening quarter. The second quarter saw the shooter for Sorry in Advance start to flex their skills. The shooters for Bibs Out continued with great accuracy, going into the break with a 14 goal lead. The second half was similar to the first with Sorry in Advance lacking some height to take on the powerhouse of Cam in the Bibs Out goal circle, He was awarded Player of the Match for his goaling in the game, aiding Bibs Out to a 34 to 6 victory over Sorry in Advance.

Both these teams have had some challenging games this season
and are very equally matched, will be a great game tonight. The first quarter
was mostly goal for goal, Mediocre just stretching out a slight lead at the
change of ends. The second quarter saw PMS step it up a notch and fight for
every ball, they narrowed the gap down to just 2 goals going into the break.
The third quarter saw Mediocre attempt to runaway with it again, they shot
beautifully and extended the lead out to 4 goals for the final challenge
against PMS. The final quarter was a nailbiter and PMS gave it everything they
had, Sean had a killer game for Mediocre and they ultimately took the win with
just a 2 goal gap from PMS.
