It was the grand-final rematch that didn’t disappoint as Shots Fired and Goal Diggers wound back the block to produce another heart-stopping finish. A solitary goal split the two sides in the grand final last season and it was remarkably the same on this occasion as Goal Diggers triumphed in the thriller 21-20. Both sides sit in second and third on the ladder and will likely face each other again in the finals if current form continues. Tara was adjudged best on court by the umpires to earn best on court honours.

Cheeseballers and Mixed Bag have both been building towards some promising form, so it’s no surprise the two evenly-matched sides played out an absolute thriller. A see-sawing affair saw a final 17-18 result, with the experience of Mixed Bag shining through in the end to earn the narrow victory and the four points. Maddy caught the eye of the umpires to be awarded player of the game for a superb performance.
