Mixed Bag v Mountain Mums
Welcome back for another season Mixed Bag and Mountain Mums. The first quarter of the game was fairly even with Mixed Bag able to score off an intercept and gain a 2 goal lead heading into the change. Mountain Mums continued to push and scored 6 goals in the second quarter, a solid effort against the strength of Mixed Bag. The second half saw Mixed Bag put the foot down and with the help of some new players this season they won the game 33 to 16. Maddy for Mixed Bag and Ashleigh for Mountain Mums were awarded player of the match for their respective teams.
Hilly Mums v Shots Fired
Welcome back to the competition for the summer season both teams. The first quarter saw Shots Fired come out with the same fierceness we saw in the Grand Final last season, quickly getting out to an 11 goal lead at the change. The second quarter saw Hilly Mums fight back, scoring 5 goals for the quarter. We continue to see week on week improvement from this new team. Shots Fired put the foot down again in the third quarter and with strong shooting were able to stretch out to 19 goal lead. The final quarter saw both teams continue to push, Hilly Mums did not stop fighting for the whole game. Shots Fired are obviously keen to turn around their runners up status and push hard for the premiership this season, taking the win 44 to 18. Chloe for Hilly Mums and Tammy for Shots fired were awarded Player of the Match for their respective teams.
Material Gorls v Night Owls
Welcome back to both teams, always nice to see teams continue from season to season. The first quarter saw the reigning premiers come out and show how they were able to win the grand final, quickly notching up a 9 goal lead. The second quarter saw Night Owls shooters move well and get the team on the board. The defensive efforts of Night Owls was also on show as they kept Material Gorls to just 2 goals for the quarter. The second half saw Night Owls continue to push hard and work the ball around well in the midcourt, unfortunately the skills of Material Gorls were just too strong and they won the game. Sophie T for Material Gorls and Cat for Night Owls were awarded Player of the Match for their respective teams.
MILF Magnets v Nets Top Model
Welcome to the competition MILF Magnets and welcome back to our long-standing Nets Top Models. The first quarter showed that MILF Magnets may have a comical name, but they mean business on the court. Quickly challenging Nets Top Model and getting out to a 2 goal lead at the change. Nets Top Model came back in the second quarter and levelled out the scores, the ball continuing to travel up and down the court before MILF Magnets were able to notch out another lead of 2 going into the final quarter. Nets Top Model made some changes and were able to level the scores’ part way through the last quarter. Ness for MILF Magnets and Louise for Nets Top Model were awarded player of the match for their respective teams.
