Sockballers v spaghetti 'n netballs
Welcome back for another season to both Sockballers and Spaghetti n Netballs. Tonight’s game was hotly contested from the get go. Sockballers got out to a good start, however Spaghetti n Netballs were not going to allow them to runaway with it, limiting them to 1 goal lead in the first quarter. The second quarter saw Sockballers step it up a notch and extend their lead out to 3 goals for the half time break. The third quarter saw Sockballers continue to push hard and extend their lead out to 5 goals with 1 quarter to go. Spaghetti n Netballs never gave up and pushed until the very end, however Sockballers had a killer game and took the game, 24 to 16. Ash was a superstar on the court for Spaghetti n Netballs and was named Player of the Match for her defensive efforts.
brogres v the og's
Welcome back for another season Brogres and lovely to see some returning faces in The OG’s. What a killer game straight off the bat, It was goal for goal for the first quarter, Brogres just creeping in front in the dying seconds of the quarter. The second quarter continued the strong contesting by both teams, The OG’s levelled the scores heading into the half time break. The third quarter saw the momentum continue for The OG’s as they stretched out to a 5 goal lead, with a quarter to go. Brogres regrouped and fought back, quickly getting the gap back down to 3 goals. Both teams fought hard until the very end with The OG’s winning their first game, 24 v 30. Chloe had a ripper first game back and was named player of the match for The Og’s.
Pancake Pals v the opposition
Welcome back for another season to both teams, Pancake Pals welcomed back their full team and had a ripper first quarter against The Opposition, quickly building a 6 goal lead. The Opposition found their groove in the second quarter and were able to score 5 quick goals to limit Pancake Pals from running away with the game. Pancake Pals pushed hard in the third quarter and The Opposition briefly dropped down to 6 players, allowing Pancake Pals to extend their lead to 10 goals with a quarter left to play. Both teams put in a great effort for the final 9 minutes. Pancake Pals won the game 24 to 12, Jess had a very accurate game in goals for Pancake Pals and was named Player of the Match.
Family Feud v amazeballs
Welcome back to the longstanding Family Feud, and a big welcome to Amazeballs on joining our Sunday comp, even if your faces are familiar from other nights. The first quarter we saw Amazeballs start to find their groove as a team, and Family Feud had the help of a fully stocked bench to shuffle through in the heat. Amazeballs were able to get out to a healthy lead at the half time break as they started to learn how they all like to play together. The third quarter saw Amazeballs put the foot down and get out to a decent lead with a quarter to go. Family Feud weren’t going down without a fight and had a killer final quarter. Amazeballs won their first game 17 to 34. Kayla had a terrific game and was named Player of the Match for Amazeballs.
Phat Phlamingos v underachievers
Welcome back for another season to both teams and a special welcome to our returning champs Phat Phlamingos. Underachievers missing a few players had a slower start to the game than they usually do and Phat Phlamingos were able to build a small lead in the first quarter. The second quarter saw Underachievers tighten up their defence and it was goal for goal for both teams. After the break both teams continued with great contesting, Phat Phlamingos just extending their lead out by an extra goal. The final quarter saw Phat Phlamingos charge home and win the game, 25 to 12. Beau starred in GS and was named Player of the Match for her efforts.

Welcome back Don’t Step, great to have you back for another season. Don’t Step had a fantastic first game back, moving the ball around well and with strong defence they put up a hell of a fight.
