family feud v underachievers
Both teams have had 2 wins and 2 losses so far for the season and will be looking to get their third tonight. Underachievers came out strong in the first quarter and quickly built a 7 goal lead at the change. The goalers for Family Feud were having a bit of difficulty converting the goals in the second quarter and Underachievers were able to extend their lead to 12 goals. A change up by Family Feud in the third in their goals was not enough to stop the flow of goals by Underachievers, Family Feud opted to bring on their secret weapon in the final quarter into defence, making it hard for the goalers for the final quarter, which Underachievers also swapped up, showing their breadth of goaling capability in their team. Family Feud moved the ball around well and were able to score more goals in the final quarter. Underachievers one the game, 5 to 27, for their second win in a row. Luca was awarded Player of the Match.
sockballers v don't step
Sockballers are on a winning streak and Don’t Step have had a challenging start to the season and will be hoping to turn that around in tonight’s game. Sockballers came out strongly in the first quarter and built a 7 goal lead. The second quarter was fairly even by both teams, Sockballers extending their lead out slightly to 9 goals. The third quarter was similar to the second with both teams moving the ball around well and converting, Sockballers holding on firmly to their lead and Don’t Step continuing to push throughout the game. The final quarter saw Don’t Step eat away at the lead that Sockballers had built, but time was not on their side and Sockballers were able to hold on to take the game, 25 v 17, for their fourth win in a row. Brooke had a great game and was awarded Player of the Match.
spaghetti n netballs v phat phlamingos
Both teams are coming into tonight’s game from a challenging
week last week, the first quarter was a great show of the skill both of these
teams possess, both teams pushed hard, and scores were drawn at 6 all at the
first change of ends. The second quarter was much the same with Phat Phlamingos
just starting to edge away and build a lead of 2 at the break. After the break
Phat Phlamingos continued with their momentum and were able to extend their
lead out to 7 at the final change of ends. Spaghetti n Netballs pushed hard for
the entire game, Ash had a ripper game in defence and was named Player of the
Match for Spaghetti N Netballs, Charlie had an equally good game and was named
Player of the Match for Phat Phlamingos, who eventually won their third game
for the season, 14 to 23.
brogres v pancake pals
Both teams have had good starts to the season, Pancake Pals undefeated and Brogres with just the one game that didn’t go their way. Tonight’s game should be a good challenge. The first quarter Pancake Pals got out to a good start, building an 8 goal lead at the first change. Brogres pushed back in the second quarter and continued to score goals and move the ball around well. The third quarter was even by both teams with Brogres continuing to push and not let Pancake Pals run away with it. Jake was stellar in the game and did a great job defending in the final quarter, he was named Player of the Match for his efforts, for the second time this season. Pancake Pals won their 5th game in a row, 35 to 14.
the opposition v twisted knee
Both teams have had challenging starts to the season so far, The Opposition securing their first win to the season last week and Twisted Knee hoping to get theirs tonight. The Opposition came out strongly in the first half and not only did they shoot well they also defended very strongly, getting out to a 15 goal lead at the half time break. Twisted Knee stepped it up in the third quarter and were able to lessen the lead down to 11 heading into the final quarter. The Opposition found a last bit of energy and put the foot down in the last quarter, winning the game, 25 to 9. Their second win in a row, Mel was also named Player of the Match for The Opposition.
setballers v hot shots
Setballers are coming into tonight’s game undefeated and Hot Shots had a challenging week last week. The first quarter was fairly even by both teams, warming up and getting use to their competitors. The second quarter saw Setballers start to build a lead and were defending very strongly against Hot Shots. The third quarter was back to fairly even play with Hot Shots fighting hard to stay in the game. The final quarter saw Setballers change up positions and push hard for percentage points on the ladder. Zoe had a good game and was selected as Player of the Match. Setballers won their third game in a row, 25 to 6.
