brogres v phat phlamingos
Brogres are off the back off 2 wins in a row and Phat Phlamingos will be eager to break that streak after the challenging week last week. The first quarter was fairly even, Phat Phlamingos just a 2-goal lead. The second quarter saw Phat Phlamingos show the form they were missing last week and extend their lead out to 9. Brogres fighting hard in the game, even some friendly fire, or should we call it sibling affection. It’s easy to see how Brogres have had 2 wins so far this season, moving the ball through the midcourt very well. The second half saw Phat Phlamingos keep the pressure on and extend out their lead, winning the game 21 to 36. Charlie was instrumental for Phat Phlamingos in defence and was awarded Player of the Match for the second time this season.
pancake pals v underachievers
Pancake Pals are undefeated so far and Underachievers had a strong win last week, this is set to be a good game if they bring the same energy. The first quarter saw both teams fight hard with heaps of strong contesting for the ball, Pancake Pals were missing one of the goalers and brought in a strong replacement, this was working well for them as they notched out a 4 goal lead in the first quarter. The second quarter was well defended by Pancake Pals and enabled them to extend out their lead to 10 goals heading into the break. A change of positions for the Underachievers to combat the flow of goals worked well in the third quarter, however the defenders for Pancake Pals did a great job of keeping their opposition to just 1 goal for the quarter. The final quarter was stellar for Underachievers outscoring Pancake Pals and lessening the gap to just 11 goals. Pancake Pals winning the game 27 to 16. Pancake Pals now on a 3 game winning streak. Rylie was awarded Player of the Match for her goaling skills for Pancake Pals while filling in.
spaghetti n netballs v the opposition
Both teams are coming into tonight’s game after challenging games last week, eager to turn their seasons around with a win tonight. The first quarter was equal with both teams staying on centre for their goals. The second quarter saw Spaghetti N Netballs forge out a small lead of 4 goals heading into the break. The rest seemed to favour Spaghetti N Netballs as they came out with a hunger in the third, quickly extending out their lead to 10 goals. Molly had a ripper game for Spaghetti N Netballs and was awarded Player of the Match. The Opposition were not put off by the gap and continued to push hard in the final quarter, however Spaghetti were able to secure the win, 28 to 15.
sockballers v family feud
Both teams are coming into this game from wins last week, Family Feud started strong in the first quarter and was able to secure a goal lead heading into the first change of ends. Sockballers stepped it up in the second quarter and took the lead by 2 into the break. Family Feud continued to push hard in the game but the height of Sockballers was proving a challenge for them. Sockballers continued the flow of goals in the last quarter and although Tom was exceptional for Family Feud and awarded Player of the Match it wasn’t enough for them and Sockballers took the win, 25 to 16.
hot shots v don't step
Hot Shots will be keen to keep their winning streak alive with this game and Don’t Step will want to turn around the results of last week. The first quarter was stellar by Don’t Step, scoring 4 unanswered goals. The second quarter Hot Shots came to the party and were able to take the lead by 4 goals heading into the break, a big turnaround from the first quarter. The third quarter was even with both teams scoring 4 goals and Hot Shots holding on to their lead. The final quarter was make or break for Don’t Step, they pushed for the whole game, but Hot Shots were too strong and won the game, 21 to 15. Hot Shots now on a 2 game winning streak.
setballers v twisted knee
Welcome to our newest team to join Eastern Indoor, Setballers, keen to see what you can bring to the competition. Twisted Knee were up for a challenge against the newcomers, the first quarter saw them push hard and get out to a 6 goal lead. The second quarter continued to see both teams push hard and Setballers shooters had their eye in, extending their lead to 9 goals at the break. The second half saw Twisted Knee defenders start to shut down the attacking end of Setballers, both teams scoring 3 goals for the quarter. The final quarter was even by both teams again, scoring another 3 goals each, Setballers holding on to their lead from the first half and winning their first game, 17 to 8.
