ballistic beavers v pink panthers
Both teams are wanting to secure a win tonight after tough weeks last week, these teams are pretty evenly matched so tonight’s game is gonna be a good one. The first quarter was fairly even, both teams scoring well and keeping tight defence down the court. Pink Panthers were just able to notch up a 2 goal lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was a ripper for Ballistic Ballers who put on a great display of netball at its finest, turning the lead around and getting out to a goal lead at half time. Pink Panthers regrouped at half time and the third quarter was all theirs, scoring 6 straight goals to retake the lead. An injury to a key Ballistic Beavers player in the final quarter sealed their fate as Pink Panthers scored their first win, 14 to 22, Evan having a great game and being named Player of the Match.
peach cups v vicious & delicious
Peach Cups are on the back of their second win last week and in their way tonight is Vicious & Delicious who had their first loss last week and wont want to see it repeated. The first quarter Vicious came out strong, quickly building a 3 goal lead, however Peach Cups didn’t take it lying down and lessened that to 2 at the half time break. The experience of Vicious and Delicious was shown in the third quarter as they started to run away from the newcomers who need to get some game time into their legs and will soon be taking it to the best of them. Matt had a great game for Vicious & Delicious and was named Player of the Match. They also took the win, 14 to 21.
cops & lobbers v pineapple on pizza
Cops and Lobbers are currently on a winning streak and will be hopefully to see that continue against Pineapple on Pizza who are eager to obtain their first win of the season. The first quarter was a beautiful show of athleticism by Pineapple on Pizza who were able to get out to a 3 goal lead heading into the second quarter. Cops and Lobbers quickly adjusted their play and were able to take the lead themselves early in the second. Pineapple on Pizza kept the pressure on in the third quarter but were struggling with the fancy plays coming from Cops and Lobbers. The final quarter was even with both teams scoring 5 goals each, but Cops and Lobbers had done the work in the second quarter to secure their win, 36 to 20. Milly had a great game for Cops and Lobbers and was awarded Player of the Match.
white line fever v the newlyweds
Both teams are on the back of a win this week and even with friendly faces on the court we are not expecting these teams to go easy on each other. The first quarter was fairly even with both teams moving well but defending hard throughout the court. The second quarter White Line Fever pushed hard to build themselves a buffer of 13 goals against The Newlyweds. Tactics were discussed at half time by The Newlyweds who made a change in their goaling circle, proving pivotal and they quickly outscored White Line Fever in the third quarter to reduce the lead to just 8 goals. It was another stellar quarter in the fourth for The Newlyweds, the move to change Cam into goals allowing them to continue to outscore White Line Fever, but time was not on their side, White Line Fever taking the win, 27 to 22. Rylie for White Line Fever and Cam for The Newlyweds were awarded Player of the Match respectively.
don't step v hannah and the bananas
Both teams will be eager to get a win this week, but only one can take away the 4 points. It was fairly even in the first quarter, Don’t Step doing well to keep up with the speed of Hannah and the Bananas. The second quarter we started to see Don’t Step struggle with the continuous running from their opposition. It was a better second half for Don’t Step who found their goals were flowing easier, however Hannah and the Bananas continued to run their hearts out and were able to celebrate with a win tonight, 10 to 23.
nets top model v monny money squared
Both teams have managed to go undefeated so far for the
season, until tonight’s showdown. It was fairly even in the first quarter with both
teams having strong starts. Monny Money started to increase their efforts in
the second quarter and were able to start to build a lead over Nets Top Model,
out to 5 goals at half time. The continued with momentum in the third quarter
increasing their lead out to 12 goals. Nets Top Model had a great final
quarter, their defence really stepped up against their opposition. Monny Money
won, 21 to 30 and Jim was awarded Player of the Match.
