The Bridesmaids are on the back of a gruelling 1 goal loss last week and up against the inform Nets
Top Model for tonight’s game. The first quarter saw both teams come out fighting. Both moving the
ball around well and shooting accurately. The first quarter ended with both teams on 5 goals each.
The second quarter saw The Bridesmaids put the foot down and they were quickly able to build a 5
goal at the break. The third quarter saw both teams have moments of scoring multiple unanswered
goals in a row before the other would do the same, Nets Top Model built on momentum and started
to eat away the lead that The Bridesmaids had built. The final quarter came down to the last minute
and Nets Top Model were able to get out to a single goal lead to win the game, 21 to 22. Michael
and Steph for The Bridesmaids and James M and Net for Nets Top Model had great night and were
awarded Players of the Match.
cops & lobbers v white line fever
Cops & Lobbers are on the back of a challenging game last week and are up against the undefeated
White Line Fever tonight. The first quarter saw White Line Fever get out to a 6 goal lead, Cops &
Lobbers doing well to shut down some of their advances into the attacking third. The second quarter
saw stronger shooting by Cops & Lobbers but White Line Fever continued their strong attack on the
ball, extending their lead out to 10 at the half time break. The third quarter was another quarter that
saw Cops & Lobbers improve on their quarter before and attempt to eat away at the lead that White
Line Fever had built. Bonnie had a great game for White Line Fever and for the second time this
season was named Player of the Match. White Line Fever won the game, 18 to 40 to continue their
undefeated streak!
red dolphins v hannah and the bananas
Red Dolphins are coming into tonight’s game on the back of some challenging weeks, up against
Hannah and the Bananas fresh from the Bye last week. The first quarter saw both teams play well
and the score was goal for goal. The second quarter was the same as the first with both teams going
goal for goal and ended the first half on 11 goals each. The third quarter we saw Red Dolphins show
their endurance as Hannah and the Bananas started to tire with the constant competition, they were
able to start to build a lead heading into the final quarter. Evie for Red Dolphins and Jonas for
Hannah and the Bananas were instrumental for their teams and were named Player of the Match.
The final quarter saw Red Dolphins find their groove and they ran away with the game, winning 29
to 17.
ballistic beavers v sunflowers
Both teams are on the back of some challenging games and will be keen to see that turn around
tonight. The first quarter was pretty even with both teams moving the ball around well and starting
to get their eye in, in the goal circles. The second quarter saw Sunflowers start to push Ballistic
Beavers and set the challenge, starting to notch out a small lead for themselves. The second half saw
Sunflowers continue to play well, Riley had a ripper game for Ballistic Beavers and was awarded
Player of the Match for his efforts, however he is but one man and was unable to stop the onslaught
of Sunflowers who won the game, 15 to 27.
